Oral Roberts University Accredited By National Financial Accountability Organization

WINCHESTER, Va. – The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) today announced the accreditation of Oral Roberts University (ORU) of Tulsa, Okla.

ECFA accreditation is based on standards of responsible stewardship, including financial accountability, transparency, sound board governance and ethical fund-raising.

Oral Roberts University (www.oru.edu) is a God-centered, charismatic university whose mission is "to educate the whole person in spirit, mind and body, thereby preparing its graduates to be professionally competent servant-leaders who are spiritually alive, intellectually alert, physically disciplined and socially adept."

With a student body of more than 3,000, ORU offers 65 undergraduate majors, 14 master's programs and two doctoral degrees. It is a member of the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).

"We are pleased to include in our membership this outstanding university, which strives to educate and equip students for successful careers, fruitful lives and faithful service in the Kingdom of God," said Dan Busby ECFA president.

ECFA, founded in 1979, provides accreditation to evangelical Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fund-raising and board governance.
