Korean Alumnus Receives High Honor from South Korean Government

Dr. Wan Suk Do, a 1995 graduate of the ORU Doctor of Ministry Korean Language program, was awarded the "Great Award in the Area of Culture and Fine Arts" by the South Korean government on Dec. 11.

Dr. Do received the honor for the work he has done with fine arts and musical productions at the school where he is principal, Sung Nam High School in Daejeon, South Korea. Dr. Do has produced several musicals including Westside Story and The Sound of Music, which has toured several South Korean cities including Seoul, Pusan, Chonan and Daegu. Dr. Do is also the assistant pastor of Daejeon Gospel Church.
