ORU Chorus and Orchestra Make Special Holiday Appearance


The Oral Roberts University Oratorio Chorus and Orchestra will be the special guests at the Tulsa Youth Symphony Association Holiday Concert Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Union Public Schools Performing Arts Center.

ORU instructor Ron Wheeler will conduct the combined Youth Symphony and ORU orchestras in the Evening Prayer and Dream Pantomime from "Hansel and Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdinck. The ORU Oratorio Chorus, conducted by ORU professor Dr. Edward Pierce, will join the orchestras to perform Joy to All the World by Craig Bohmler and Holiday Moods, Suite No. 3, arranged by Jeff Tyzik.

The Youth Concert Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra will also perform several other pieces including selections from Georges Bizet 's "Carmen" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."
