Communication Arts Worship Arts Concentration- WOR

Worship Arts will prepare worship leaders to develop their skills and meet the needs of today's church through intensive studies in communication arts and drama, music theory and technology as well as the art of leading worship. An audition is required for admittance into the program. Both vocalist and instrumentalists are welcome to apply.

Experience
Students will experience:
Song writing/arranging and lead chart notation
Music Technology
Keyboard Training and improvisation
The design and function of the worship service
Audio production and voice-overs
Directing a theatre production
Acting opportunities for Main Stage Productions, Showcase Theatre and Manna (the evangelistic drama group that tours each semester)
Writing sketches and lyrics for the church
Music theory, harmony and sight singing
A practicum experience in a local church
Seminars from alumni and notable guest artists from around the World
