Lagat Captures Men's Title at Missouri State Classic

ORU's men, ranked 14th in the Midwest region, captured three of the top seven spots, finishing four points behind team champion Morehead State.
Lagat won his first race of the year, finishing the 8K race in 25:10.84. Joseph Chebaibai finished third in 25:45.78, while Shadrack Koech placed seventh in 26:11.47.
Alex Rowin was 12th for the Golden Eagles in 27:04.64, Zach Schoeder came in 27:39.59 while Axel Moiyai finished 31st in 29:52.87.
On the women's side, sophomore Kristen Radcliff led way as the Golden Eagles finished third. Missouri State won the team title, while Wichita State was second.
Radcliff ran the 5K race in 18:31.10, finishing fourth overall. Sheilah Ndasym joined Radcliff in the top 10, finishing 10th in 18:52.30.
Ruth Adamiec (27th), Angela Makaha (31st), Sarah Birgen (36th), and Sylvia Angote (47th) also competed for the Golden Eagles.
Both teams return to action at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree, Saturday, Oct. 4, in Stillwater.
