The Alumni Connection luncheons are back! Be sure to join us on Sept. 16 for a great meal and a great presentation from our guest speaker, Johnie Hampton (Class of 1991).

We're still meeting at Ti Amo Ristorante Italiano (61st and Sheridan). Come early (11:30 a.m.) for networking; the buffet opens at 11:45 and the program begins at noon. We wrap things up by 1 p.m. Cost is $15, which includes meal, dessert, drink, and tip.

After Johnie Hampton graduated from ORU, he spent seven years at Impact Productions, working mostly as a graphic designer. Then he accepted a position as creative director for Church on the Move and national affiliate director of the Oneighty Youth Program. He returned to Impact in 2000 and in 2002 founded Hampton Creative, where he is currently the president and creative director.

Hampton Creative exists to provide God-inspired ideas and design to both mainstream and Christian organizations. Personally, Johnie's passion has always been—and continues to be—reaching the lost, whether they be halfway around the world or the neighbor next door.

Johnie will tell you that his ability to run a full-fledged design agency is a result of God's grace and his B.S. in business administration from ORU. (He says he would have greatly benefited from a design degree from ORU; however, he graduated so long ago, desktop publishing didn't yet exist!)

Johnie's family is his hobby, along with a love for running and master's swimming. He and his wife, Krystal, have two sons, Zane and Grayson.
