ORU Graduate Receives State-wide Honor

ORU is proud of Dr. Richard Rosenberger (83, 01) who was recently named the 2006 Oklahoma middle school principal of the year!

Currently principal at Clyde Boyd Middle School in Sand Springs, Dr. Rosenberger received both his Bachelor of Science in physical education and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from ORU. He previously worked as assistant principal at Oliver Middle School in Broken Arrow.

While making the announcement, Dr. Linda Everett, executive director of the Oklahoma Association of Secondary School Principals stated that Dr. Rosenberger, "dedicates himself to middle level education and is definitely a committed leader."

In response to being named, Dr. Rosenberger expressed, "I am truly honored by this award, as it reflects my dedication to the most important phase of an adolescent's life."

Dr. Rosenberger will receive his award at a conference of school administrators in August in Oklahoma City.
