From the beginning, Oral Roberts has always placed equal emphasis on the preaching, teaching, and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
In response to the recent passing of Evelyn Roberts, Pastor Jack Hayford*, senior editorial adviser for Ministries Today, takes time to reflect on how the "unfettered-by-fear" life and ministry of Oral Roberts has sparked the entire charismatic movement as we know it today.

With attention to details constant in Oral's "no-nonsense, straight-from-the-shoulder" crusade services, Hayford outlines the similarities to Jesus' "whole ministry," including preaching God's Word from its text, disallowing "fanatical distractions," and a lack of sensationalized showmanship.

You can read Hayford's article, "Time for an 'Oral Review,'" in its entirety in the July/August 2005 issue of Ministries Today, currently available in bookstores nationwide.

Also notable: ORU alumni Eddie Hyatt (Classes of '89 and '94), Ted Haggard (Class of '78) and Stephen Mansfield (Class of '81) are contributing writers in this issue. Excerpts can be read online at www.ministriestoday.com.

*Jack Hayford is the founder of The Church on the Way in Van Nuys, California, chancellor of The King's College and Seminary, and president of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
