|
Carter finished a 2-under par 214, shooting 76-67-71. She shares championship honors with Oklahoma's Kendall Dye, who shot 73 in the final round.
By sharing individual honors, Carter gains her fourth career individual title and second this season. Carter started the day tied for third and trailed Dye by two shots entering the final round.
Carter's play this weekend proved to be of the record-setting variety. Her 67 in Sunday's second round broke her own school mark for lowest single-round score, and her tournament victory ties the junior with three others for most career individual titles.

ORU shot 314-303-305 to finish at 922, 37 strokes behind team champion No. 40 Oklahoma. The rest of the top five included Arkansas-Little Rock (889), Kansas (898), Iowa State (906) and Wisconsin (910).
ORU's Pamela Ontiveros (Torreon, Mexico) enjoyed a solid showing, finishing 20th overall after a 73 on Monday left her at 226 for the tournament.
Jessica Gibson (Tulsa, Okla.) finished in a tie for 50th at 236, while Megan O'Connell (Odessa, Texas) and Sharon McAlpine (Ft. Worth, Texas) tied for 80th at 249.
