ORU-Creighton Bracket Buster Game on ESPN2
|
The Golden Eagles are 17-5 overall and lead The Summit League with a 12-0 conference record. ORU was selected to be a part of the 28-team, 14-game Bracket Buster series last Monday after being placed in a pool of 100 eligible teams prior to the season.
Missouri Valley Conference member Creighton (17-6, 8-5 Valley) will visit Mabee Center for the first time in over 10 years. ORU won that game 69-66 on Nov. 25, 1997.
This is the second consecutive year ORU has hosted a nationally televised Bracket Buster game. The Golden Eagles hosted Utah State on ESPNU in 2007. In fact, this year's Bracket Buster contest will be the 11th national television appearance for the Golden Eagles since March 2005.
In addition to the national television audience, the game will be a special one for other reasons. Seniors Moses Ehambe (Arlington, Texas), Ben Haynes (Pullman, Wash.), Shawn King (Bequia, St. Vincent), Adam Liberty (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and Yemi Ogunoye (Cedar Hill, Texas) will be honored in post-game Senior Day ceremonies.
For tickets to the game, call the Mabee Center Ticket Office at (918) 495-6000.
