Alumni Relations: We can relate!

At College Weekend, Nov. 8-10, we attended a luncheon where we greeted alumni parents who had brought their offspring to check out ORU.

At the ORU Alumni Connection luncheon on Nov. 20, Rick Brinkley of the Better Business Bureau spoke while an attentive group of alumni and their guests enjoyed a tasty Ti Amo meal.

Back on campus...it was time for the annual Faculty Recognition Awards, which are sponsored by the Alumni Association. This year's awards, which recognize professionalism in the classroom from a variety of aspects (use of technology, pedagogy and andragogy, innovations, mentoring, scholarship, service), totaled $2,500 and went to these outstanding faculty members:

ORU sponsors two other awards: ePortfolio and Writing Across the Curriculum. This year, Dr. Catherine Klehm (Chemistry) won both awards. Chris Putman (Communication Arts) received honorable mention in Writing Across the Curriculum.
