ORU Is Coming to D.C.!
|
ORU government professor Dr. Tim Brooker and his students are making what has become an annual trip to our nation's capitol this month. On this trip, about 60 students will be accompanying him to discuss the latest Hill happenings with members of the U.S. Senate and Congress.
We see this as a great opportunity for current students and alumni to mingle and share some great ORU fellowship. So, if you are in the area, you are cordially invited to join these students, your fellow alumni, and Alumni Office staff on Thursday evening, March 23, at the Capitol for a special hors d'oeuvres reception, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in room HC-5 (closest to the South Entrance). We would love to greet you in person and learn more about what you're doing in D.C.
To reserve your spot, please contact Winnie before 5 p.m. Monday, March 20, at 918/495.6610 or wperdue@oru.edu.
For your convenience, here are some directions:
- If you're driving, park at Union Station (north of the Capitol), 50 Massachusetts Avenue NE. Enter the Capitol's North Entrance and walk through to HC-5. Further directions are at www.unionstationdc.com.
- If you take the Metro, just take the Red Line to Union Station.
