Students enjoy some hot chocolate.
It's become a tradition at ORU: students going door to door on Halloween night to collect canned goods that are then donated to local food banks.

This year, more than 900 students (including athletes) and faculty members gathered in excess of 10,000 cans of food from generous Tulsans. And this year, the gatherers were rewarded when they returned to campus, with a special hot treat from alumni.

According to alumni events coordinator Winnie Perdue, she and her team served 675 cups of delicious hot chocolate (paid for by alumni). Those who took part in the outreach agreed that the end-of-evening soirée was a wonderful social event, with music provided in two separate locations.

"It was a marvelous success, and everyone was so glad to have the Alumni Office participating," Perdue said.
