Indianapolis, Ind. -- Caleb Green and Ken Tutt combined for 32 points in the second half, and reserve Andrew Meloy added a career-high 13 points to lead ORU to a 79-72 victory at IUPUI in the regular season finale for both teams Monday.

With the win, the Golden Eagles (23-6, 13-3) captured their first outright Mid-Con Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming league tournament, which begins Saturday at Hammons Arena in Tulsa.

Meloy, a senior guard from Houston, Texas, matched his season-high for points in the first half, with a team-leading 10 points off the bench, helping ORU take a 34-27 lead at the break.

Tutt, held to just two points in the first stanza, made five of his seven field goal attempts and scored 16 points in the second half to finish with 18 points. He totaled 10 of his points in the final 2:23 to help the Golden Eagles clinch the win.

Green finished with 22 points and tied Mickey Michalec for team-high rebounding honors with seven. His 16 second-half points included a layup with 3:13 to go that extended ORU's lead to 64-61.

ORU will begin Toshiba Mid-Con Tournament play Saturday at 6 p.m. against Southern Utah (13-14, 6-10).

IUPUI (15-12, 9-7) was led by Akeem Clark's 19 points. The Jaguars will be the No. 4 seed in the upcoming league tournament and will face No. 5 seed Western Illinois (11-16, 7-9) in the first round on Sunday.

ORU's 23 wins are the most since 1973-74 and include a school single-season record 12 victories away from home, which breaks the previous school-best of 11 set by the inaugural NCAA Division I team in 1971-72.
