Popular 'Legal Issues' series returns


The ORU School of Business began presenting its "Legal Issues in Human Resource Management" lecture series, a course designed to introduce today's professionals to the changing face of human resources, on Aug. 20.

The lectures are taking place in the ORU Graduate Center, room 3112, every Monday during the 2001 fall semester from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Charles Kothe, professor and director of the Center for Human Resources and Civil Rights, is the course director. The lecture series examines various topics concerning termination, discrimination, telecommuting, employee handbooks, and many other topics integral to compliance with federal and state employment laws.

The 13-week lecture series is being offered to business professionals for $299. Additional options include attending any four sessions for $140 or any one session for $50. For registration information, contact the Adult Learning Service Center at 495-6989.
