Barnes Makes Team

Junior Markius Barnes of the Golden Eagle basketball team was named to the Mid-Continent Conference All-Tournament team in March. He scored a career-high 31 points against Youngstown State and 11 points against Southern Utah, the eventual champion.

ORU defeated Youngstown, 73-70, on March 4 before losing to Southern Utah in the second round, 73-62. Final record was 10-19.

Barnes was also named to both the media's and the coaches' All-Newcomer lists in the Mid-Con for 2000-01. He averaged 16 points per game.
