HSRC Has New Look

"We are done with 95 percent of the renovation of the front area," said Mark Roberts, director of the Holy Spirit Research Center. The center, located on the fifth floor of the LRC, has been under construction since January.

"Getting the front looking nice gives the area a completely different atmosphere," he said, speaking of the custom-built counter/work station. Still to come is special carpeting and an etched-glass window.

The center reopened for business in time for the Society for Pentecostal Studies annual meeting, which ORU hosted March 8-10.

The HSRC is a special, noncirculating collection that was started in 1962 by Oral Roberts and two ORU administrators. Today, the center has one of the largest and most comprehensive Pentecostal/charismatic and Holy Spirit collections in the world.
