Think back to your days as an ORU student. Was there an occasion when tuition was due and the money just wasn't there?

Wingmates on the Crusaders wing (EMR 2-Yellow) remember what it felt like to be up against a financial wall. What's more, they decided to do something for the sake of future ORU students who would face the same challenge. In 1988, they founded the Crusader Scholarship Fund.

In the spring of 2000, the following students received scholarship awards ranging from $900 to $1,300: Jonathan Barnett, Luz Delgado, Hope Jacobson, Sarah Jaworski, Vondale Singleton, Ian Spencer, Michael Stephens, and Rebecca Strawn.

CSF's board of directors is composed of Dave Crowell (80;81-MBA), Jim Stovall (81), Rob Campbell (81), Dan Barlow (82), and Greg Sparlin (81). Because the board pays all overhead expenses, every dollar donated to CSF goes directly to ORU students.

Since 1988, CSF has given more than $160,000 to students who, without CSF, would not have been able to stay in school.
