A Whale of An Opportunity
From June to October, the TV production and broadcast journalism students will be working with a Canadian organization called Channel of Hope, shooting and editing footage and hosting programs for satellite and Internet broadcast. They will produce three daily programs aimed at the 18-25 age group.
"This is an incredible opportunity for everyone involved," says Roger Bush, a faculty organizer of the project. "They will literally be cranking out 2 hours of original programming each day."
Seven of the ORU students will be working with the official youth pavilion--a giant, three-dimensional glass fish known as the Pavilion of Hope.
