Alumni Ministers Return

There were some changes in format, but the second annual Alumni Ministers Conference was as appreciated as its predecessor.

Held Nov. 8-10, the conference was hosted by Chancellor Oral Roberts, President Richard Roberts, and First Lady Lindsay Roberts. Alumni came from 27 states and the Republic of Cameroon to learn from and to encourage one another.

Workshop sessions, including "Outreach of the Local Church" and "Counseling in the Local Church," were taught by alumni and ORU faculty members. A lunchtime panel discussion gave alumni an opportunity to ask questions of Pastor Bill Shuler and his wife, Lisa; faculty chaplain Dr. Frank Hultgren and his wife, June, Pastors Billy Joe and Sharon Daugherty, and the president and first lady.

A total of 166 alumni and spouses attended.
