New in Athletics

Lacy Orpin, a native of Ponca City, Okla., is the newest member of the staff in Athletics. She is serving as assistant media relations director.

A 1995 graduate of Chadron State College in Chadron, Neb., where she played basketball, Orpin has a degree in English with a minor in journalism.

Before coming to ORU, Orpin was a special-section writer, copy editor, and layout at the Muskogee Daily Phoenix. Asked why she chose to change jobs, Orpin said, "I wanted to get involved with athletics again."

As for her decision to come to ORU, Orpin said, "ORU has a good Christian environment. Working here is a good opportunity. And, this is more of what I want to do with my career."
