In September, President Richard Roberts announced a new "Adopt A Student" drive on the ministry's Something Good Tonight TV program. More than $2.9 million has been received, representing the "adoption" of 3,875 students. During a chapel service in early December, the president announced that a partner of the ministry had just given $1 million to Adopt A Student, resulting in the new total number of "adoptions."

"Adopt A Student" was created to raise funds that would help make up the difference between what a student pays to go to ORU, and what it costs the University to educate each student. Those who "adopt" a student are not giving to a specific student, but are giving to insure that all the resources needed for a top-quality education will be provided.

Enrollment for the fall semester was 5,181.
