ORU Begins Dance Performance and Musical Theatre Majors
The Dance Performance program will prepare students physically, intellectually, and spiritually to become dance artists of excellence. They will lead and influence the current culture and impact the dance world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Musical Theatre program will develop the "triple threat" (one who can sing, dance and act in the theatre) student and provide a foundation on which one can build experiences in professional, semi-professional, or amateur dramatic productions (especially musical theatre and opera productions).
It is designed to develop the intellectual, aesthetic, and creative potential of students through drama, music, and dance as a liberal study and prepare students for graduate study in musical theatre.
Auditions for entrance into the two new programs will be held in the ORU Mabee Center, located at 7777 S. Lewis Ave. in Tulsa. To set up an audition, click here or call the Communication Arts department at 918.495.6861. The dates and times are:
June 30

| 4:00-5:30 | Ballet, modern, and improvisation audition class |
| 5:30-6:30 | Question and Answer, and Admissions information |
August 13
| 12:30-1:00 | Check-in and warm-up |
| 1:00-2:30 | Ballet, modern, and improvisation audition class |
