ORU Alumna Named New Miss Oklahoma

Lindsey Miller 05, first runner-up in the Miss Oklahoma pageant in June 2006, was awarded the title of Miss Oklahoma after the reigning Miss Oklahoma, Lauren Nelson, was crowned Miss America 2007 on Monday, January 29.

Miller graduated from ORU with a degree in mass communications. She then earned her spot in the Miss Oklahoma pageant by being declared the winner of the Miss Grand Lake Pageant in Grand Lake, Oklahoma. Her platform issue is child mentoring.

Miller will be crowned during Nelson's homecoming celebration.
