Lift Provides Mobility

In early March, the student resources department was excited to announce that an external wheelchair/scooter lift has been installed on one of the ORU vans.

This will provide students with disabilities access to transportation for off-campus events. It will also provide more access to the campus for visitors who are wheelchair or scooter-bound. This wheelchair/scooter lift joins other recent improvements ORU has been able to make for its students with disabilities including a swimming pool lift in the Aerobics Center, a Braille printer, and a flat panel monitor with a 30 inch-wide screen. These improvements have all been thanks to a grant from the Waters Charitable Foundation.
