OAC Luncheons: New Format

The format of the Oral Roberts University Alumni Connection (OAC) luncheons has been tweaked.

Six minutes of Speed Networking will be added to the program. The first four alumni who sign up for the luncheon will each be given 90 seconds during the luncheon to share about their business or ministry or to promote themselves if they are looking for employment. They are encouraged to bring business cards to hand out to everyone present.

The Speed Networking luncheon that was held in October proved to be very popular with alumni. That drove the decision to add a networking element to future luncheons.

The rest of the program will remain the same: time to visit, buffet lunch, pertinent announcements, and special speaker.

OAC luncheons are held on the third Tuesday of each month at Ti Amo Ristorante, 61st and Sheridan in Tulsa. Arrive at 11:30 to take full advantage of the 90-minute program.

The November 17, 2009 speaker will be Dr. Dominic Halsmer, dean of ORU's College of Science and Engineering. The topic will be "Evidence for a Transcendent Designer of the Cosmos." In other words, Genesis 1 is truth.
