Q: What is the Holy Spirit Research Center?

Q: How may I use materials in the HSRC?

Q: What materials does the HSRC contain, and how may I search among them?

A: The HSRC collection includes books, booklets, periodicals, audio tapes (reel-to-reel and cassette), video-cassettes, and the Holy Spirit Vertical File (HSVF) with hundreds of files of miscellaneous information. All holdings (except for the those in the HSVF) are cataloged within the library catalog, and you may search them using the library's online catalog. To find out if the HSVF contains information useful to your research, call, write or e-mail, and describe your research subject as specifically as you can. Provide information for us to contact you. Allow one week for us to search and respond to your request, longer during ORU breaks and summer.

Q: Will someone research for me at the HSRC?

A: The HSRC exists to serve researchers (with no fee, beyond actual costs--photocopies, postage, etc), not to research for them. Contact the Center if you wish to hire a local free-lance researcher to research in the Center for you.

Q: What is the Curriculum Media Center?

Q: Do you have books to read "just for fun"?

A: The Leisure Reading Area provides ORU Library patrons with books of interest for personal enrichment and entertainment. The collection is shelved next to the New Books display on the 4th floor. Though the books can be easily browsed, patrons may search the Library Catalog (IPAC) for the availability of particular books or favorite authors.  These books are part of our regular circulating collection and may be checked out.
