Conference on
C. S. Lewis and the Inklings

April 1 and 2, 2005

Papers and panels on C. S. Lewis and other Inklings, including J. R. R. Tolkien and Charles Williams, as well as others associated in some way with that group, are invited. Papers on Owen Barfield, Dorothy Sayers, and G. K. Chesterton are also encouraged. For the purpose of this conference, papers on the relationships between these authors are especially sought. The length of the papers should be 8-10 pages, designed for a presentation of approximately 15 minutes.

Keynote speakers include Christopher Mitchell and Ralph Wood. Dr. Christopher Mitchell is the Director of the Marion E. Wade Center and Assistant Professor of Theological Studies at Wheaton College. He also serves as Book Review Editor for Seven, a journal published annually by the Wade Center on its authors. Dr. Ralph Wood is a Professor of Theology and Literature at Baylor University and is also the author of The Gospel According to Tolkien: Visions of the Kingdom in Middle-Earth.
