Freshman - Senior Scholarships


Scholarships for Freshmen - Seniors

Air Force ROTC - By agreement with the United States Air Force, eligible full-time students at Oral Roberts University may participate in Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) and receive an officer’s commission in the Air Force upon graduation.

Army ROTC - Army ROTC will provide you an opportunity to learn excellent leadership and management skills, and to participate in some of the finest training available. Upon completion of Army ROTC requirements and graduating from Oral Roberts University, students will be commissioned as an Army officer and rewarded with the rank of Second Lieutenant.

The Blake Family Foundation Scholarship - Preference for this scholarship is given to students from Maranatha Academy or Eastern Kansas Christian Schools in Shawnee, Kansas. April 30 deadline

Gloria B. Scholarship Fund - This scholarship is for art majors who demonstrate financial need. March 31 deadline

The JDM Foundation Scholarship - Preference is given to students from the Oklahoma City area, especially those who graduated from the Oklahoma Christian School in Edmond. It is also available to current ORU students who have been recommended. March 31 deadline

Jonas B. Nyberg Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is for students seeking a degree in Evangelism or Communication. March 31 deadline

Margaret L. Lesher Foundation Scholarship - This scholarship is for a full time print or broadcast journalism major who demonstrates financial need. April 15 deadline


Scholarships for Sophomores - Seniors

Helen Scott Murphy Memorial and T.C. and Bee Hatfield Scholarship - This scholarship is for students who demonstrate financial need and outstanding leadership and academic ability. They must also be in the top 20% of their class. April 6 deadline


Scholarships for Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students

Suzanne M. Behr Scholarship Program - This scholarship is for junior or senior female students who have financial need. The applicant must be willing to join an ORU women's mentoring program if one exists or a program that would hold her accountable for her personal spiritual walk. March 26 deadline

 Breeden Scholarship - This scholarship is for U.S. citizen junior or senior business majors who want to start a business in the U.S. and come from a single parent home. April 12 deadline

“Paying for College: Student Resource Guide” - A collection of scholarship, fellowship, and internship listings and their deadlines. Includes a list of suggested scholarship websites and suggested books for research. Many opportunities for Hispanic and other minority applicants.

Studentaid.ed.gov Scholarships and Grants - A comprehensive resource for private scholarships, scholarship searches, and government grants.

The Carson Scholars Fund - A program that awards $1000 college scholarships to students in grades 4-11; when used at ORU, ORU matches the Carson Scholarship.   

The Gates Millennium Scholars Program - A scholarship program for outstanding minority students.  Eight current ORU students are Gates Millennium Scholars.

The RMHC/HACER Scholarship Program - A program that supports Hispanic students in pursuit of their college education; annually, four $100,000 awards are made in addition to many other awards.
