Overcoming the high cost of studying

You're in good company when you make the decision to study at ORU. We welcome students from around the world and feel that the cultural diversity you bring to our campus enriches the opportunities for all. Currently there are 281 international students on our campus, representing 59 countries.

We realize you've overcome many challenges to come to ORU, and we do everything possible to make you feel welcome and to smooth out the financial arrangements to help you pay for your education. Be sure to check out the International Student Organization. It offers many events throughout the year to encourage involvement in campus life and gives you opportunities to share your talents with others.

While international students are not eligible for U.S. government aid, you may be eligible for aid from your own government, and there are a number of scholarships open to you. We encourage you to talk to the financial assistance office to apply.

There also are opportunities to undertake a work-study program and work up to 20 hours per week earning money you can use toward room and board, tuition or personal expenses.

Again, we welcome you to campus and look forward to getting to know you in the weeks and months ahead.
