Training Videos

You've decided to pursue funding for that great idea that has been swirling around in your head.  As you begin the journey to gather the data and details needed for your proposal there are a few Pre-Award Training items that will be beneficial to the process.  Knowing the terms and expectations of a funder assists in shaping the proposal.  The videos offer a 3 to 5 minute training session on a variety of pre-award topics.

After weeks of planning, researching, writing, and re-writing you've just received an official award letter from a funder. It's great news. Nothing is quite as exciting as when your hard work is rewarded with a sizable grant check—one that will provide great things for you, the University, your department, and your students. With a hundred goals to achieve and a limited time to reach them in, you're likely eager to start spending.  Before you do, take some time to learn more the Post-Award Training basics of grant management. Grantors care deeply about how their funds are used, so it's important to keep careful records and to ensure compliance with federal regulations, University policies, and requirements by the funder.

Often times there are a number of external compliance issues that must be addressed when engaging in research and sponsored projects. The Office of Sponsored Programs assists with the coordination and monitoring to assure that all ORU research and sponsored projects are compliant with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as University and agency policies. Here are a few tips on Research Compliance items that you'll need to be aware of in order to assist the University in adhering to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and responsibility.
