Participates in the analysis and design of new small to medium sized systems as well as existing systems where system architecture decisions are required. Provides recommendations for system architecture improvements including insight into potential cost reductions and technology advancements balanced against university needs. Provides technical consulting support and mentoring to systems programmers, engineers, and administrators. Meets with technical leaders across the organization to communicate system architecture structure and decisions in a manner that is relevant to their primary responsibilities or interests. Creates, implements, and maintains processes, standards, and best practices related to system development and maintenance.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S): Computer related certifications preferred.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Will include but not be limited to: sitting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, twisting of upper body, manual dexterity for use of office equipment, and minimal lifting up to 25 lbs. Vision to include: near, far, depth perception, visual accommodation, color and field of vision.
