This position is responsible for administrative functions within the Office of the Provost and has the responsibility to implement the daily routine required to serve as a liaison for both the Executive Assistant and the Provost. Requires a candidate with high work ethic and confidentiality. Candidate will coordinate multiple calendar as well as communication with other academic departments related to activities, deadlines, meetings, and other assigned items for the Provost office. Position requires a highly organized person with excellent communication skills to maintain a smooth work flow and management of records. Candidate must be able to thrive and navigate a fast paced work environment with many interruptions and multiple tasks. Candidate with skills related to the functions of an executive office a plus.
Note: This office services 6 college deans with 24 administrative assistants for college chairs and 66 cost centers.
EDUCATION: High School degree required. Bachelors degree preferred.
Maintains confidentiality in all matters relating to student files and operations of the Office of the Provost as prescribed by both the University, state and federal requirements under FERPA

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS to include but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, twisting of upper body, and manual dexterity for operation of office machines and/or equipment. Vision to include: near, far, color, depth perception and visual accommodation.
The normally scheduled office hours are flexible from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This position is 32 hour per week. Due to the nature of the work occasional hours outside this time frame will be required. Incumbent must be flexible to this regard.
