Job Description

Dance Faculty Position with an Expertise in Ballet/Pointe.

Duties

  • Teach in a multitude of the following areas with specialized excellence in teaching ballet/pointe technique, re-staging classical works, & choreographing new works for concerts: (Ballet Emphasis) beginning through pre-professional level ballet technique, pointe, choreography, modern dance, dance forms (world &/or social dance), dance history, pedagogy, improv., dance for worship, re-staging classical repertoire, & choreographing contemporary/classical ballet.
  • Advise & mentor undergraduate theatre students.
  • Be involved in university activities such as faculty meetings, committee meetings, retreats & chapel.
  • Embrace whole person commitment as stated in Honor Code.

Requirements

  • Masters of Fine Arts in Dance.
  • An established record of professional Ballet experience.
  • Experience in teaching ballet/pointe technique, re-staging classical works, choreographing new works for concert.
