Raymond Gatlin

Raymond GatlinRaymond is a mechanical engineer for John Crane Lemco’s standard products group. His experience is primarily pressure vessel and heat exchanger design, including ensuring compliance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) boiler and pressure vessel code, the American Petroleum Institute’s 682 standard and customer specifications as appropriate. He schedules the projects for the drafting department, reviews and approves design drawings, performs design calculations, inspects the vessels at hold points during the manufacturing process, schedules inspections with an authorized inspector, reviews and oversees nondestructive examinations, and registers the vessels with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. He also registers designs with Canadian provinces to allow the vessels to be installed and operated in Canada , as required.

Raymond graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He will pursue a master’s degree in business administration in 2008.

Raymond has been a member of ASME since 2000. He is currently a volunteer for the local ASME Mid-Continent section’s executive committee. He has served on the industry advisory board for ORU’s engineering and physics department since 2007.
