ORU Student Nurses Association

The SNA Mission is to: organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs; convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession; promote development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession; convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession; advocate for high quality health care; advocate for and contribute to advances in nursing education.

Sigma Theta Tau

Sigma Theta Tau International is the honor society of nursing. Nurse leaders are linked together through a worldwide network of knowledge, scholarship, research, and technology to improve the world's health. The purposes of Sigma Theta Tau International include the recognition of superior achievement, fostering high professional standards, encouraging creative work, and strengthening the commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession. The Anna Vaughn College of Nursing at Oral Roberts University hosts the Mu Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. Membership is by invitation, and, at the undergraduate level, is based upon the student's grade-point-average.
