Experience the blending of faith and art--discovering the profound depths of Christ's love and grace as we seek to understand our bodies in motion, as vessels of truth. Seeking to empower artists to promote healing in the midst of poverty, injustices and loss of hope, at ORU we are committed to helping artists discover their artistic voices and go forth with light in the midst of darkness.
After you have been admitted to ORU, you will need to apply to the dance program or apply online. Auditions
are held during College Weekend, giving you the opportunity to check out ORU when you come for an audition. Auditions will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Howard Dance Studio. Click here for additional dance audition information or video auditions.
In addition to merit scholarships, Talent Awards ranging from $500 - $2000 per year are available to dance majors who audition for the program by Spring College Weekend. You must be accepted both to ORU and have auditioned and been accepted to ORU dance program by the deadline. The number of scholarships is limited and based on dance talent.
We are excited to be offering a dance minor, beginning in fall 2012! New students who will be minoring in dance and who complete the dance audition will also be eligible for Dance talent award money.
