Dance.....something more at ORU!

toe shoesExperience the blending of faith and art--discovering the profound depths of Christ's love and grace as we seek to understand our bodies in motion, as vessels of truth. Seeking to empower artists to promote healing in the midst of poverty, injustices and loss of hope, at ORU we are committed to helping artists discover their artistic voices and go forth with light in the midst of darkness.

After you have been admitted to ORU, you will need to apply to the dance program or apply online.  Auditionsdancers in black are held during College Weekend, giving you the opportunity to check out ORU when you come for an audition. Auditions will be held on the following dates:

  • Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • Friday, January 31, 2014 from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm
  • Friday, March 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

All auditions will be held in the Howard Dance Studio. Click here for additional dance audition information or video auditions.

In addition to merit scholarships, Talent Awards ranging from $500 - $2000 per year are available to dance majors who audition for the program by Spring College Weekend. You must be accepted both to ORU and have auditioned and been accepted to ORU dance program by the deadline.
