SPIN

If you are looking for a vigorous and satisfying workout, look no further! This biking class will burn calories, make you sweat, and keep your muscles in shape. You'll be using a stationary Schwinn bike, while pedaling in an energized, music-filled atmosphere. Workout phases will consist of warm-up, steady-up tempo and cool-down pedaling. The best part is you don't have to wear a helmet! Join the ride!

ZUMBA

This class features aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast & slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. It utilizes the principles of fitness interval training to maximize caloric output, fat burning & total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps. 

BARRE

This class fuses concepts of ballet, pilates, and conditioning. It focuses on postural strength & alignment. Light weights are used to tone the arms while the barre is used to sculpt the lower body and abs. The class moves down to the mat for core work and stretching. This ballet inspired routine sculpts the entire body and results in a long, lean physique. 

INTERVAL TRAINING

The focus of this 30 minute class is high intensity effort in short bursts that provide a kick start to your metabolism and keeps it working, even when you are done. Come sweat, have fun, and feel amazing!

CORE

This 30 minute class focuses on developing a strong core, from your shoulders to your hips. It will improve your athletic performance, help prevent back pain, and give you ripped abs! Includes functional and integrated exercises using your body weight to challenge you. 

ORU FIT CLUB

The ORU Fit Club runs on the indoor track or outdoors (depending on weather) every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15 p.m. High intensity cross-training is done every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the functional training room. No instructor needed as this group is peer-led! Come join the fun and get in shape with other students, faculty & staff! 

ALL GROUP FITNESS CLASSES ARE FREE WITH A CURRENT ORU ID.

 

PERSONAL TRAINING

Training sessions with a certified Personal Trainer are available. Sessions are approximately 55 minutes and are tailored to individual goals. Free Fitness Assessments are also available to students, faculty and staff. Stop by the Aerobics Center Front Desk or click here to complete a fitness assessment application. Discounts are available for ORU Students, Faculty and Staff.
