When was the last time you visited your alma mater? Connected with your former brother or sister wing? Networked with an ORU grad? Received an update on everything that is happening at ORU? There is no better time to do so than during Homecoming, and 2010 promises to be the best celebration yet!

From Homecoming Chapel on Friday morning to the final reception Saturday night, this weekend is jam-packed with an ORU Update from President Mark Rutland and Board Chair Mart Green, a Women's Luncheon with Alison Rutland, a 5k run, 20-, 30-, and 40-year reunions, men's and women's basketball games, and a number of luncheons and receptions sponsored by academic departments and affinity groups.

There is something for everyone, whether you were a chaplain or a student athlete, a biology or communication arts major, in Music Ministries or Student Association, Class of 1980, 1990 or 2000. And you won't want to miss the Alumni Homecoming Banquet Friday evening at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills, where the Alumnus of the Year award recipients will be celebrated. We're planning some other new features for the banquet, including the "Parade of Alumni." You'll have to be there to see what it's all about.

Parents of current and prospective students are also invited to find out more about the ORU student experience by participating in the all-new Parents Weekend. Along with the many Homecoming events taking place, parents can also attend classes, eat in the cafeteria, visit with professors, tour the newly renovated buildings and much more.

There is so much happening, you'll have to come see it for yourself! So mark your calendars, February 12 and 13, 2010. You won't want to miss this exciting weekend. We'll see you there! Also, if you are interested in helping out during Homecoming, Alumni Relations is looking for volunteers. Contact the Alumni office at 918.495.6610 or alumni@oru.edu.
