We broke ground for a new apartment-style dorm on April 18 ... but to build this incredible student housing debt-free, we need your generous support.
Be part of this exciting project by making a financial commitment today…and let’s see how God moves on our campus and through our students to impact the world in His Name! Click here to give.
We’re Growing Like Never Before
Over the last nine years, God has favored ORU with an amazing increase in enrollment. As our student population continues to grow, it’s imperative that we maintain pace with demand and provide the type of student housing options that are needed to maintain a strong Christian community. With "modern, comfortable housing" on the "must-have" lists of students who are considering which college to attend, a new dorm will also make ORU more competitive with other universities.
Our campus residence halls are nearly at full capacity. In order to adequately attract, retain, and prepare the next generation of student-leaders seeking a Spirit-empowered whole person education, we must make room. Many rooms, in fact.
We are committed to addressing the need for additional rooms so that we can welcome even more future world-changers to ORU--students who will continue to fulfill ORU’s mission of reaching the uttermost bounds of the earth with God’s love and healing power.
It’s Time to Build
The new dorm is the Phase II -- and final -- project in ORU's 50th Anniversary Comprehensive Campaign. It will be constructed on the footprint of the former Braxton Hall, just north of Christ’s Chapel, and will be built debt-free -- 100% funded by donor support.
ORU has established a solid financial foundation and remains committed to sound fiscal stewardship. This philosophy and approach applies the same financial formula we used to build our ONEOK Sports Complex and Global Learning Center without assuming any debt. Both of those projects were funded entirely by donors.
Beautifully Designed for Building Independence
As time goes by, students pivot from enjoying their ORU experience to preparing for life beyond graduation. What comes next? What preparations do I need to be making now? What responsibilities should I be preparing for? These are the questions in the forefront of their minds.
The future apartment-style dorm is designed with this transition from college life to post-college life in mind. This 21st-century dwelling, with separate wings for men and women, will offer furnished suites with private baths, shared living/dining/kitchen, high-speed Internet, Wi-Fi, and cable TV service. Traditional dorm-style rooms will also be available. In short, the dorm will offer our students another attractive housing option.
