hoco-footerIGNITE! HOMECOMING 2018 | NOVEMBER 9-10

The theme of our 2017 Homecoming celebration was UNITE—drawn from Jan Dargatz’s 2016 Alumnus of the Year thank-you speech.*

Following up on last fall’s theme, we’ve adopted IGNITE as our 2018 theme. Alumni, it’s time to fire up our faith and reignite our passion for ORU’s mission. We have work to do!

*In a conversation with ORU’s founder several years earlier, Jan was told that it was time for the “third act” (the first act being the healing ministry and the second act being the university). The third act was a worldwide revival led by ORU alumni. It was time, Oral Roberts said, for alumni to stop being scattered and lukewarm—time to “Unite” and “Ignite” and “Burn Hot”! You can see Jan's entire speech here.

**"Alpha Group" refers to students, faculty, and staff who came to ORU in 1965. "Pioneers" are former students who enrolled at ORU between 1965 and the 1971 spring semester--before ORU received its accreditation.
