Program Overview
Communication arts education majors are preparing to teach middle and high school students. The CAE major enjoys the benefits of two different departments. As a communication arts major, students explore drama, television and debate. As an education major, students practice applying various processes of learning and have access to the Education Technology Lab at ORU's NCATE accredited School of Education.

Outcomes
CAE graduates from ORU are extremely successful at passing the tests to become licensed to teach secondary communication. Each graduate is eligible to attain teaching licenses in other fields by passing additional tests. Graduates have earned a degree in communications and may work in a variety of fields including acting, television, radio, church drama, publishing, law and business.
