Dr. Dwight Davidson

Dr. Dwight Davidson

Associate Professor, Graduate School of Education

Dr.  Dwight Davidson is an Oklahoma native who attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned three degrees. He has over 30 years of experience in public education and served 23 years as superintendent prior to coming to Oral Roberts University.

Dr. Davidson began teaching at ORU in 1997 as an adjunct and began teaching full time in 2005. He is now a member of the Graduate School of Education faculty.  He treasures the ORU uniqueness. He considers it a great place to teach because of the Christian foundation, students who come from many different backgrounds and the strength of faculty and administration at ORU.

His favorite hobby is fossil collecting and he has loaned one of his collections to the Science Museum Oklahoma.  Fossil collecting has also opened up opportunities for Dr. Davidson to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

At ORU he enjoys attending chapel services, watching students walk in faith and building relationships with students. However, his greatest desire is to impart to his students that “the key for all you have learned at ORU is to use the lessons of God as a filter for everything you say and do.”
