Carlos Chalé

Instructor of Spanish

Similar to many other professors at Oral Roberts University, Carlos Chalé is an alumnus.   In 1993 he completed his B.A. in Theology and in 1994 he completed his M.A. in Education (TESL), both at ORU.  From 1994-1998 he taught at Tulsa Community College (then known as Tulsa Junior College) as an Instructional Representative.

From 2000-2001 he was an International Script Writer for T.V. Guide.  He was one of several Spanish writers that wrote the descriptions of movies, TV shows, and sports for the TV Guide Channel.  In 2001 he came to ORU and mainly teaches the general education Spanish classes (Spa. 101, 102, and 203).  Known for being very engaging in class, his Student Opinion Survey scores have always been considerably higher than the department, college, and university average.  He has also, since 2002, led yearly Spanish study trips to countries such as Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
