Psychology

Available in Bachelor of Arts or bachelor of science

Program Overview

Courses in psychology are designed to give an empirical approach to the study of human behavior, a knowledge of psychological principles and an acquaintance with contemporary problems, while providing a strong Christian framework to evaluate theories, techniques and beliefs.

The psychology major is tailored to prepare you for graduate work in any of the variety of areas within which professional psychologists function. The professional areas include, but are not limited to, the more popular areas of clinical psychology, counseling psychology and biological psychology. The psychology program also endeavors to assist its students to a better understanding of themselves as well as of those with whom they interact in the process of living. For this reason, the major is an excellent choice for students eventually planning to work in almost any field.
