- The Bureau of Labor projects that by 2020, the R.N. workforce will rise to 3.45 million, a 26% increase over 2010.
- The Bureau of Labor projects 1.2 million job openings for RNs by 2020.
- The "United States Registered Nurse Workforce Report Card and Shortage Forecast" projects a shortage of Registered Nurses through 2030, with shortages most intense in southern and western regions of the country.

- Graduates are prepared to write the National Council of State Boards Examination for licensure as a registered nurse.
- Graduates may take the Exam at any approved site in the United States, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, or Virgin Islands.
- Each graduate chooses the state of his or her original licensure.
- The graduate contacts the board of nursing in the state where seeking licensure for state-specific requirements and deadlines.

ORU to Launch New Online RN to BSN Program
The Oral Roberts University Anna Vaughn College of Nursing will be launching an online RN to BSN program in the fall of 2013.
Tulsa Red Cross honors ORU student with award
The Tulsa Area Chapter of the American Red Cross will award Montika Collins, an Oral Roberts University senior nursing student, with the Save-a-Life-Hero award on April 19 at the Tulsa Convention Center. The Save-a-Life-Hero award is given to honor Tulsa citizens who have performed the extraordinary deed of saving a life.
