Faculty Profile

Words to Students

"Dare to launch out. Take hold of international opportunities. These opportunities can be better than those within your comfort zone. Widen your avenue and perspective be reaching out to others – it is so rewarding. Travel the world and get the experience you need before you get attached, and while you are still young. Even a low-paying job which avails you opportunities is necessary and could propel you to where you need to go.

My vision is to see students going overseas and working in the international arena, soon after graduating. Taking long to venture out can lead to settling back home and not launching out to pursue your hopes and dreams. Likewise, international students should choose to return home at least for some time and utilize the acquired knowledge to develop their own communities. They are the best model for change, more than outsiders.

Read, eat, and dream everything international. Volunteer, intern and engage in international issues. Join international clubs, watch international documentaries, eat out at international restaurants, and connect with international students. For your senior paper write about something that will launch you in your desired career. Just get involved. Be the change that you want to see in the world."
