International Relations Major

Bachelor of Arts Degree

Program Overview

The History, Humanities and Government department endeavors to provide students with a foundation from which they can impact their world. Through understanding and valuing the past, students develop a deeper understanding of their place in today's society. Analysis of the whys of the past suggests actions that may be expected to produce positive changes in contemporary institutions and society.

The International Relations Major is designed for students interested in learning about and/or pursing a career in diplomacy and regionalized or international politics. The major also includes studies in economics, theology and linguistics. A minor in one of the modern languages offered (French, Spanish, German or Hebrew) is required. A student majoring in international relations will be adequately prepared for the diversity in the modern global arena through a strong foundation of Judeo-Christian principles as they apply to international studies.
