The History, Humanities and Government department offers three degree programs designed to prepare students for law school, graduate school or a wide range of positions in the government or in international organizations. These include degree programs in international community development, government and international relations.

Our programs' advantages include:

    • You can study abroad for a semester and gain valuable international experience while earning credits toward your degree.


    • A number of high level government internships are open to ORU students in our degree area.


    • You have opportunities, if you wish, to enhance your speaking skills by presenting at conferences.


    • ORU is active in Model United Nations and Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature.


    • Our programs are excellent preparation if you wish to pursue a juris doctorate degree.
