The Communication Degree in Three Years encourages a whole-life approach to communication. The theory and practice of interpersonal communication skills in the areas of functional intelligence, social decision-making and self-expression are explored with emphasis on the application of theory to life situations. Students in this program acquire skills in applications of organizational communication, including assumptions, processes, roles, relationships and responsibilities.

2 Choose from 101, 102, 203, and 204 classes in Arabic, Chinese, French, Hebrew, or Spanish.  
3 Choose from BIO, CHE, EVR, HLSS, PHY, or PSC.
4 Choose your second course from HUM 201, 202, 203, 204, 333; ART 103, 104, 307; DANP 125; DRAM 215, 304; MUS 300.
5 Choose from GOV 101, GOV 103, HIS 110, HIS 111, or HIS 200.
6 Choose from SOC 101, 201, 323, SWK 202, MUS 208, PSY 201, BUS 201, or FIN 244.
7 Requires 300- and/or 400-level GEN-designated classes
8 One course per full-time semester, incl. GEN 150 (first full-time semester); HPE 155, HPE 400, swim course/proficiency, and electives.
8 A student taking 18 or more hours in the same semester may petition the HPE credit from 1.0 to 0.5 hours.
